adidas – Run for the Oceans
Run for the Oceans is adidas and non-profit environmental organization’s Parley for the oceans global
initiative for the reduction of marine plastic pollution.
For a 6th consecutive year, adidas, true to its vision, utilizing the power of sports, is committed to
drastically tackle the catastrophic levels of plastic pollution in the oceans and aims to inform and raise
awareness to as many people as possible about this important environmental issue which concerns us
all.
On June 2nd, 2022, the plastic free run race will be organized within the framework of adidas – Run For
The Oceans, at Bati Beach in Faliro.
➢ General Terms of Participation
Each competitor submits his / her application voluntarily and agrees and commits to fully follow the rules
of the event, as listed below:
1. I wish to participate with my own initiative and individual responsibility in the plastic free run race
that will take place within the framework of adidas – Run For The Oceans on June 2, 2022 at Bati Beach
in Faliro.
2. I responsibly and consciously declare the following:
a. I have received full knowledge of the rules of the event and I fully accept them. I am fully aware that
racing can be very demanding and difficult and I know that during the race, there may be physical strain
or injury.
b. I explicitly and unreservedly accept to follow the instructions of the organizer, namely adidas Hellas
SA (112 Vouliagmenis Avenue & 1 Zamanou, Glyfada, Athens, 16674, Greece), adidas – Run For The
Oceans (hereinafter “adidasrfto.gr”). In case I do not follow the instructions of the organizer, I take
actions that prevent the smooth and safe conduct of the race or event in general, or I take actions that
may be dangerous for other participants, I unreservedly accept that the organizer adidasrfto.gr may
expel me or deny me participation in the race.
c. I certify that I have checked my state of health within the last 6 months and that I can participate in
short or long distance races and related events.
d. I certify that I understand and accept that there is a potential health risk associated with my
participation in group activities such as the organization of adidas – Run For The Oceans and therefore
the organizer adidasrfto.gr and those involved (natural or legal persons), do not bear any responsibility
in the event of damage to my health or in the event of injury to spectators or bystanders, whether or
not it is in my fault.
e. I also expressly state that no claim will be raised for any bodily or moral injury, or for any direct /
indirect financial damage, damages suffered or other damage of any kind directly or indirectly related to
the race and the event in general.
f. All intellectual property rights on all audio, image and advertising recordings that may be received
during the race and event, belong to the organizer adidasrfto.gr
g. I declare that I know that the race and the event concern entertaining citizens.
h. I declare that both the race and the event are aimed at sports recreation and do not fall within the
framework of competitive sports or Sports Programs for All.
i. Information on the collection and processing of your personal data in the context and for the needs of
the event, as well as the possible exercise of the rights of the participants deriving from the legislation
on personal data, can be found in the Privacy Statement, which is available below.
3. I understand that the race, event and related activities may take place in a location away from a
hospital and transportation to it may be difficult / impossible it in case of need and I should take care of
any medical care I shall need myself. Nevertheless, I choose to participate in the activities of the race
despite the increased risk for me due to the distance from the hospital.
4. I declare that I respect and will abide by the rules of the race before, throughout and after its conduct.
5. I declare that I am in excellent physical condition and I take full responsibility for my participation.
6. By submitting the application, I declare that I am over 18 years old and legally able to accept this
statement. In the case of a minor, it is considered that the parent’s consent has been given for the child
to participate in the race by submitting the respective application form.

➢ Information on the processing of personal data
For the purposes described in the present, the responsible entity is adidas Hellas S.A.- 112 Vouliagmenis
Avenue & 1 Zamanou street, Glyfada, Athens, 16674, Greece (hereinafter “the company”).
adidas Hellas S.A., in the context of the adidas – Run For The Oceans event informs that it processes
personal data of contestants in accordance with applicable national legislation and EU Regulation
2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on
the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter referred to as “the
Regulation”) as in force.
The personal data we process are the absolutely required, necessary, and appropriate for the
achievement of our intended goals and are summarized as follows:
– Personal data, which you provide to us when submitting your entry to the race and the event adidas –
Run For The Oceans, namely:
• Name and last name
• Email Address
• Phone number
•Year of birth
• Sex
• Photos and videos of material containing your image that will be taken during the race and event
(filming and recording of the event).
Purpose of Processing:
We process your personal data exclusively for purposes related to the planning, conducting, marketing
and promotion of the Adidas – Run For The Oceans race and event, which will take place on June 2nd
,
2022 at Bati Beach in Faliro.
Legal Basis:
The legal reason for the processing of your personal data is the correct execution of the contract
between us, that is your participation in the race and the provision of the services you wish to receive
from us under the existing contract.
Receivers:
The company will forward your personal data to the following categories of recipients:
• To the marketing and event agency “The Magic Bus Event Wizards”
Retention Period:
Your personal data is stored for as long as is necessary for the execution of the contract, that is your
participation in the race and event and for the establishment, exercise, and/or support of legal claims
under the contract.
Rights:
Your rights in relation to your personal data are as follows:
• Right of access: You have the right to be aware of and verify the legality of the processing. Thus, you
have the right to access the data and receive additional information about their processing.
• Right of correction: You have the right to study, correct, update or modify your personal data
• Right of deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data when there is no
related legal obligation or claim on the part of the company
• Right to restrict processing: You have the right to request a restriction on the processing of your
personal data in the following cases: (a) when you dispute the accuracy of the personal data and until it
is verified; (b) when you oppose the deletion of personal data and request the restriction of their use,
instead, (c) when personal data are not needed for processing purposes, but are necessary for the
establishment, exercise, support of legal claims from your part, and (d) when you object to the
processing and until it is verified that there are legitimate reasons which concern us and prevail over the
reasons why you oppose the processing.
• Right to portability: You have the right to receive your personal data free of charge in a form that
allows you to access, use and process it using commonly used processing methods. You also have the
right to request, if technically possible, that we transfer the data directly to another controller.

• Right to complain to the HDPA: In case you consider that we have not sufficiently satisfied your
request and the protection of your personal data is affected in any way, you can file a complaint through

+30 210 6475600). Detailed instructions for submitting a complaint are provided on the website of the
Authority.
Processing Security
The company implements appropriate technical and organizational measures aimed at the secure
processing of personal data and the prevention of accidental loss or destruction and unauthorized and /
or illegal access to them, their use, modification or disclosure.
Finally, we inform you that our website may contain links to foreign websites. The organizer is not
responsible for the privacy practices or the content of other websites that do not belong to it. Therefore,
